My working life started in hospitality, joining TGI Fridays when the brand first launched in the UK. Everything there was about attention to detail, putting the customer first, and going that extra mile. These are principles I still use as a driver today. I’m a firm advocate of Service That Sells and Unreasonable Hospitality.
That’s what I bring to every client, whatever sector they’re in, because great customer experience is the foundation of brand loyalty, and that belief shapes everything I do.
From TGIs, via university, I moved into communications, with roles at EMAP, ITN, UPC (also known as Liberty Global) and ANZ Bank. I worked at director level on multinational campaigns, crisis communications and C-suite reporting. In 2006, I brought that big-corporate expertise home to Hampshire and founded Rocket Launch, offering results-driven PR for start-ups and SMEs who deserve the same calibre of thinking as the giants.
Today I’m a Chartered Fellow of the CIPR, Co-Chair of the CIPR’s Independent Practitioners Network, and was named among the UK’s most innovative independent PR practitioners in the 2025 and 2026 Impact 50 Awards.
Thirty years in, and I still love the work. The story. The room full of the right people. The moment a brand goes from unknown to unmissable.
